After many hours of climbing through dense vegetation, which is sometimes even shoulder high, the reward is high once you find a group of mountain gorillas. The alpha male is called the silverback after the grey fur on his back. He is the key decision maker for the group on daily activities and locations but also the protector. He decides everything and shows off his power and force (if needed) in case he needs to intervene. Keeping an eye on all what happens is a crucial activity for him in his leadership. The mountain gorilla silverback is strong alpha leader and thus a true boss.
