the descent
During the dry season in the Brazilian jungle, jaguars will be around rivers in search of prey. The water level in the rivers is very low. This jaguar is very quietly descending the steep riverbank to get closer to its favorite meal: a cayman. The jaguar is very dangerous and has the strongest bite force of all big cats. Different from lions and tigers, the jaguar kills by biting through the skull of its prey… I was in the boat and very close when the jaguar looked me straight in my eyes. I was able to capture this brief moment. Such a charismatic animal!
