This is the world’s most famous elephant: Craig. A true African ‘Big Tusker’ reminiscent of a majestic mammoth. Craig has been photographed many times, but capturing him this close is rare - not even 2 meters or yards away, strolling through vegetation.
A real challenge, but here he is, in all his glory! Using my Nikon 28mm 1.4 wide angle lens was perfect to showcase Craig’s incredible presence. From the side one can really see how enormous his tusks are.
